6th Grade Roman Republic Essays
The Roman Republic essays were part of a writing and reading comprehension assessment. Students were given both primary and secondary source documents. They were asked to choose a quote from each document that summarized the point of view of the author and explain the quote. They then had to decide which author they agreed with and explain why. This was a formal, academic writing assignment, we used a graphic organizer to help students organize their thoughts.
